The Bengalator draws for the album
After a long wait hanging about in Croydon, combing his hair and causing trouble, Benga's debut studio album "Diary of an Afro Warrior" is finally ready. It will be preceded by his collaboration with Coki, "Night" which thanks to Skepta and Maximum, was the biggest anthem on the holiday islands this year. It's now being played by Scratch Perverts, Laurent Garnier, Fran¨ois K, Zinc, Sinden, Hot Chip and Gilles Peterson to name a few. Coki and Benga's "Night" will promo'd on vinyl in October with exclusive early copies available through www.dubplate.net.

Heavy Cargo
On November 1st, Rinse.fm will be launching a brand new night held at east London's Cargo venue. A broad selection of MCs and DJs will present "a night in the life of rinse.fm". It will be the first of many regular events. Keen an eye on www.rinse.fm for lineup details and future dates.

Warm and NYEasy
For anyone who attended last year's emotional New Years party at Plastic People, the good news is it will return again this year. The line up, as you might expect, will be more serious than JME.

It's a swing ting
As announced live on Mary Anne Hobbs' Radio 1 show, Ammunition and Blackdown return to the foundations of the dubstep scene. Following the success of the first volume, a double CD will chronicle the work of one of dubstep's founding fathers El-B, both through his Ghost Crew and Groove Chronicles incarnations. Want to know how garage went dark? "The Roots of El-B" is you.

Appleblam
After a year of groundbreaking warm up sets at Forward>>, DJ Appleblim will be mixing the sixth edition of the Dubstep Allstars series, the compilation that gave the scene it's name. Expect deep Basic Channel-esque grooves, infinite delays and serious Bristol flavours. Expect this to drop in early 2008.

The beginning of The End
1000 through the door another 300 turned away: Rinse and FWD>> @ The End proved a massive success. Ammunition would like to say bigup to everyone who came down, braved the massive queue and had a good time. Who said grime can't succeed in the West End? If you couldn't make it, why not check the tape pack, 6 CDs including Kode 9, Geeneus vs Tubby, Youngsta, Headhunter vs D1, Slimzee, Distance, Karnage and N-Type, MCs include Wiley, Crazy D, Flow Dan, Newham Generals and more.

Find his head: lose your mind
The Bristol wonderkid Headhunter returns from his US Tour and his debut appearance on Radio 1, with a double 12" for Tempa. It features the progression of his dark, percussive style including "Drop the waste" and the Skream supported "Locus Lotus" and also the Benga and N Type smashed "Sushi Brain".

D2
After the first doublepack, D1 returns with a new EP, forging his own space between epic climbs and dark growling bass. Tracks will include "Instep," "Mainframe," "Transformers" and the dubstep/funky house mutation "I'm Lovin'".

2D
Skreamizm 4 featuring Skream's "2DSkreamizm 4 featuring Skream's "2D". Nuff said... Nuff said.
